Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced
Stress Analysis & Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT;) SME
with 10+ years of expertise in aircraft structural analysis, strength substantiation, fatigue life assessment, crack growth evaluation, and airworthiness certification.
The candidate will provide technical leadership across aircraft development, certification, sustainment, retrofit, and modification programs for commercial, military, business jet, and rotorcraft platforms. The role requires deep expertise in static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, lightweight structures, metallic and composite materials, and aerospace certification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority for Stress and F&DT; activities across aerospace programs.
- Lead structural substantiation and certification efforts for aircraft structures.
- Perform and review:
- Static Stress Analysis
- Fatigue Analysis
- Damage Tolerance Assessment
- Crack Growth Analysis
- Fracture Mechanics Evaluation
- Repair and Modification Assessments
- Develop methodologies for structural strength, durability, and life prediction.
- Analyze primary and secondary aircraft structures.
- Support design optimization for weight reduction while maintaining structural integrity.
- Review engineering drawings, layouts, and structural modifications.
- Support aircraft certification, MRB, and airworthiness compliance activities.
- Participate in design reviews and customer technical discussions.
- Investigate structural failures and perform root cause analysis.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership in stress and F&DT; disciplines.
