Job Description

Deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Plan and implement teaching-learning activities in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
- Supervise students during laboratory, pre-clinical, and clinical postings.
- Provide comprehensive patient care in the assigned specialty following institutional protocols.
- Guide undergraduate students in clinical procedures, case presentations, and academic assignments.
- Participate in postgraduate teaching and dissertation guidance, where applicable and permitted by institutional regulations.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, question papers, and assessment tools.
- Conduct internal assessments, practical examinations, and university examination duties.
- Undertake research activities and publish scholarly work in peer-reviewed journals.
- Attend and present papers at conferences, seminars, workshops, and Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programmes.
- Maintain departmental records,



student attendance, logbooks, and academic documentation.
- Assist the Head of Department in curriculum implementation, departmental administration, quality assurance, and accreditation activities.
- Participate in community dental health programmes, outreach camps, and oral health awareness initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, biomedical waste management, patient safety, and ethical standards.
- Perform any other academic, clinical, research, or administrative duties assigned by the Head of Department or Principal.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognized university.
- Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in the relevant specialty from a recognized university.
- Valid registration with the State Dental Council/Dental Council, as applicable.
