We are seeking an experienced and strategic Ocean Freight Forwarding Manager or Director to lead our freight forwarding operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of international and domestic logistics, regulatory compliance, carrier relationships, and team management. This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
Oversee all day-to-day freight forwarding activities, including import, export, customs clearance.
Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods while maintaining service quality.
Implement and monitor KPIs to ensure operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute strategies to grow the freight forwarding business segment.
Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term planning and business development.
Identify new opportunities in markets, lanes, or service offerings.
Customer & Carrier Relations
Build and maintain solid relationships with clients, agents, shipping lines
Freight Forwarder Manager
Negotiate rates and service contracts with carriers and vendors.
Resolve customer issues, disputes, or escalations promptly and effectively.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and internal SOPs.
Oversee accurate preparation of shipping documents such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
Team Management
Lead, train, and motivate a team of operations staff, sales, and coordinators.
Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
Ensure proper staffing and workflow alignment to meet business needs.
