Role & responsibilities

1. Plant Operations (PMD & SMD)
- Full accountability for output, quality, and efficiency across both the Primary Manufacturing Department (PMD) and Secondary Manufacturing Department (SMD).
- Ensure zero quality or quantity escalations reach the Delhi office issues are resolved and controlled at plant level.
- Drive process discipline, machine efficiency, and continuous improvement across the production floor.
- Own plant safety, statutory compliance, and audit-readiness.

2. Profit & Loss Ownership
- Full accountability for the plant's P&L; , cost per unit, wastage control, and budget-to-actual performance.
- Implement and maintain financial controls and reporting discipline across all plant functions.
- Deliver monthly financial and operational reporting to Delhi in a explicit, decision-ready format.

3. Sourcing & Procurement
- Personally attend tobacco auctions to evaluate and secure leaf quality and pricing.
- Build and maintain direct relationships with growers and traders to ensure consistent supply.




- Assess overall plant requirements and negotiate input costs without compromising quality.

4. International Partner Coordination
- Serve as the single point of day-to-day coordination on specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Ensure international partner requirements are met without requiring Delhi's direct involvement in operational matters.

5. Team Building & Leadership
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing plant leadership team (shift supervisors, quality heads, and department leads).
- Build a strong performance culture on the floor and reduce the need for promoter involvement in day-to-day people matters.
- Handle workforce/labour relations directly and proactively.

6. Governance & Reporting
- Maintain a structured reporting cadence with Delhi/promoters weekly and monthly covering production, quality, P&L;, and partner matters.
