What you'll do
- Take full ownership of the daily end-to-end payroll process for a diverse portfolio of international regions, ensuring every starter, leaver,
and benefit change is captured with precision.
- Navigate the month-end close process by preparing and reviewing journal entries, analyzing flux, and reconciling P&L; and Balance Sheet accounts under tight deadlines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with People Ops, Tax, and Legal to ensure statutory compliance and resolve complex payroll roadblocks across different jurisdictions.
- Manage world-class customer support within our internal ticketing system, translating complex payroll and tax issues into explicit, human answers for Uber employees.
- Drive audit readiness by maintaining meticulous documentation and acting as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors during local and global reviews.
- Unblock execution hurdles by identifying patterns in data gaps and partnering with Global Business Service providers to optimize and scale our financial processes.
