Position Summary
The Logistics Manager – Ambulance Operations shall be responsible for the end-to-end management of the organization's ambulance fleet, ensuring safe, timely, cost-effective, and uninterrupted patient transportation services. The role requires expertise in ambulance operations, fleet management, route optimization, driver supervision, fuel management, preventive maintenance, GPS tracking, regulatory compliance, and emergency response coordination.
The incumbent will ensure that every ambulance remains operationally ready, reaches patients in the shortest possible time, and delivers an exceptional patient experience while maintaining optimum operational efficiency.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Ambulance Fleet Management
- Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the ambulance fleet.
- Ensure maximum ambulance uptime and operational readiness.
- Maintain fleet availability 24×7.
- Develop systems to reduce ambulance idle time.
- Monitor vehicle utilization and optimize fleet productivity.
2. Ambulance Dispatch & Route Planning
- Plan the most productive and shortest routes for ambulance movement using GPS and navigation systems.
- Coordinate ambulance deployment for emergency and scheduled patient transfers.
- Ensure minimum response time.
- Continuously optimize routes based on traffic conditions, road closures, and patient urgency.
- Coordinate with hospitals, emergency departments, and patient coordinators for seamless transfers.
3. GPS & Live Location Monitoring
- Monitor real-time GPS location of every ambulance.
- Track movement from dispatch until patient handover.
- Ensure no unauthorized route deviations.
- Generate daily movement and utilization reports.
- Investigate delays and implement corrective actions.
4. Fuel Management
- Monitor daily fuel consumption of every ambulance.
