The Role

Phonon is looking for a hands-on growth leader to build an integrated sales, marketing and pre-sales function.

The person will create the company’s go-to-market engine - identifying markets, generating demand, building a qualified pipeline, developing customer solutions and converting opportunities into business.

This is not a role limited to managing teams, making presentations or reviewing reports. The Associate Director – Growth will work closely with the MD, personally lead strategic pursuits and establish the people, processes and operating discipline required for predictable growth.

Solid financial and numerical ability is essential. The person must be able to evaluate market potential, pricing, costs, margins, conversion assumptions and business viability.

The initial focus will be new-business development. Based on performance, the role may expand to include strategic accounts,



revenue portfolios and broader business leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
- Define priority markets, customer segments, products and target accounts.
- Create product-wise and segment-wise go-to-market plans.
- Personally identify, open and lead strategic enterprise opportunities.
- Build relationships with senior business, technology, operations and procurement stakeholders.
- Lead discovery, positioning, demonstrations, proposals, negotiations and closure.
- Manage complex enterprise sales cycles and maintain momentum across stakeholders.
- Establish sales stages, qualification standards, account plans and closure plans.
- Build relationships with partners, consultants and technology providers.
- Take responsibility for new-logo, order-booking and revenue targets.
- Improve pipeline visibility, conversion, velocity and forecast accuracy.
- Reduce dependence on the MD for routine opportunity progres
