The Marketing Science Operations (MSO) vertical at Amgen is the operational backbone that ensures accurate, timely, governed, and analytics ready marketing data across all digital channels. MSO enables the MIO (Marketing Investment Optimization), and broader Decision Sciences teams to run self-service analytics, generate insights, and execute campaigns reliably.

MSO focuses on data readiness, governance, pipeline operations, vendor accountability, and automation with the goal of delivering clean, standardized, and insight-ready datasets.

Role Summary

The Associate Data Engineering role is an entrylevel engineering position within the Marketing Science Operations (MSO) Data Engineering team. This role is ideal for candidates who are excited to build foundations in data pipelines, data quality, and scalable data products that power analytics and reporting.

The team will provide structured learning and onthejob exposure. What matters most is curiosity, critical thinking, and a robust learning mindset.





LIVE | WHAT YOU WILL DO

As an MSO Data Engineering Associate, you will work under the guidance of Senior Associates and Managers to support data ingestion, transformation, and operational reliability.

You will:
- Support building and maintaining data ingestion and transformation workflows (ETL/ELT) for marketing and media datasets
- Assist with implementing data validations and QA checks (schema checks, null checks, duplication checks, count reconciliation) to ensure datasets are reliable and analyticsready
- Help monitor pipeline runs and refresh schedules, investigate failures using logs, and escalate issues with clear context and evidence
- Support development of reusable, governed datasets / data products that are consistent and easy for BI and analytics teams to consume
- Contribute to documentation (data flow notes, runbooks, assumptions, source mapping) to improve operational stab
