The Cost Analytics role is responsible for analyzing, tracking, and optimizing organizational costs, supporting business decision-making through data-driven insights. The role collaborates with finance, operations, and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency, budget adherence, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze cost structures across business units and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Prepare monthly cost reports, variance analysis, and trend analysis
- Monitor budget vs actual performance and highlight deviations
- Support financial planning and forecasting activities
Data Management & Insights
- Extract, validate, and analyze large datasets from ERP systems (SAP)
- Develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
- Provide actionable insights to improve cost efficiency and operational performance
Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operations teams to ensure accurate cost capture
- Support audits by providing required cost data and reconciliations
- Present findings and recommendations to management
Key Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- MBA/BCOM (Finance) preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in financial reporting
Technical Skills
- Solid proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Shared Services / AP / P2P processes
- Exposure to automation tools (RPA, macros)
