Role & responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and analytical reports aligned with business KPIs and requirements.
- Build and optimize enterprise-grade semantic models (datasets) using dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schema).
- Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and time intelligence metrics.
- Write complex, optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and manage Power BI Dataflows using Power Query (M Query).
- Integrate data from multiple sources including OData feeds, REST APIs, Dataverse (D365 F&O; and D365 CRM), Azure SQL, and more.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage workspace-level access controls.
- Manage Power BI Workspaces, Apps, deployment pipelines, and dataset governance.
- Optimize report performance, dataset refresh strategies, and handling of large-scale data.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure reporting models align with Lakehouse/Warehouse architecture.
- Troubleshoot dataset refresh failures, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in requirement gathering, stakeholder reviews, UAT support, and solution demonstrations.
