SEO & Technical-SEO Lead
to own Wakefit's organic AND AI-search (AEO/GEO) visibility end-to-end.
In this role, you will be the ultimate bridge between growth marketing and engineering. You will own technical SEO, on-page optimization, domain authority, and most critically, the marketing-to-tech interface. By translating search insights into crisp engineering specs, you will ensure our site architecture is optimized for both traditional search engines and the next generation of AI platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews). Responsibilities:
Technical & AI-Readiness SEO
● Run the quarterly AI-Readiness audit; conduct llms.txt keyword-volume + grounded competitive audits.
● Maintain sitemap/robots.txt crawlability; monitor INP/CLS/Core Web Vitals and raise exact dev tickets for any regressions.
● Fix duplicate-PDP-content derank issues; defer non-critical JS; fix mobile UX (touch targets, contrast) specifically optimized for AI extraction.
MarketingTech Interface (Own the Handshake)
● Fill SEO big-chunks into the product-roadmap sheet; maintain the sprint/dependency tracker.
● Spec schema (Article/Breadcrumb/OG) + security headers + failing URLs and confidently hand off to engineering.
● Get Strapi CMS access to self-serve schema/content; unblock AI crawlers (GPTBot/OAI-SearchBot/StoreBot) in robots.txt; deploy/refresh llms.txt at site root.
● Run the weekly SEO sync aligning our SEO agency, internal stakeholders, and the tech team.
● Claude-crawl every PDP to guarantee complete AI-readiness.
