Job Description

BMW TechWorks India is hiring a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to work on next-generation ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). The role involves ensuring compliance with ISO 26262, developing safety concepts, performing safety analyses, and supporting the development of safety-critical automotive software and systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop Functional Safety work products as per ISO 26262 (Parts 3, 4 & 6).
- Perform Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA).
- Develop Functional Safety Concept (FSC) and Technical Safety Concept (TSC).
- Derive Safety Goals and Functional Safety Requirements.
- Conduct safety analyses including FMEA, FTA, DFA, HAZOP, and Fault Analysis.
- Support ASIL B development for ADAS systems.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and system engineering teams.
- Work on Adaptive AUTOSAR, Automotive E/E Architecture, and Sensor Safety (Camera/Radar).




- Support supplier Functional Safety activities (SLA/DIA).
- Ensure Functional Safety deliverables are completed at project milestones.

Education
- B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MS in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Physics, or related disciplines.
