Job Purpose

The SPM Automation & Process Kaizen Engineer is responsible for identifying, designing, developing, and implementing Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), factory automation solutions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency. The role focuses on reducing manual operations through automation while driving Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen projects across manufacturing processes.

Key Roles • Design and implement SPMs and automation solutions mainly on Robotics.
- Lead productivity improvement and process optimization projects. • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives.
- Improve manufacturing quality, safety, ergonomics, and operational efficiency.
- Support digitalization and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to industrialize new manufacturing technologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation & SPM Development




- Identify manual operations suitable for automation.
- Prepare automation concepts, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses.
- Design and develop SPMs, semi-automatic and fully automatic machines.
- Coordinate with machine builders and automation vendors during design, manufacturing, FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
- Validate machine capability, cycle time, and process performance.

2. Process Kaizen & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and eliminate manufacturing waste using Lean principles.
- Conduct Kaizen, 5S, SMED, and Value Stream Mapping activities.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Reduce cycle time, manpower, setup time, and process variation.
- Improve First Time Through (FTT)

3. Manufacturing Process Development
- Develop recent manufacturing processes for productivity and quality improvement.
- Optimize workstation layouts, material flow, and line balancing.
