Tester (QA)

Role Overview

Seeking a QA Tester to ensure the quality, stability, and usability of a global intranet/social workplace application built on WordPress, PHP, and GCP. The role involves functional, regression, integration, and release testing while working closely with business stakeholders, developers, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
- Review requirements, user stories, demos, and acceptance criteria.
- Design and execute test cases, exploratory tests, and regression test suites.
- Perform smoke, sanity, integration, and release testing.
- Log, track, and re-test defects with clear documentation and evidence.
- Validate WordPress functionality including content types, taxonomies, roles/permissions, moderation, and publishing workflows.
- Verify integrations between WordPress/PHP applications and GCP services.
- Conduct cross-browser, responsive, accessibility, and basic performance testing.
- Maintain test documentation and provide quality/status updates through Jira/ADO and Confluence/SharePoint.





Required Skills

Testing
- Solid Manual Testing experience (STLC, Functional, Regression, Exploratory Testing).
- Excellent defect management and triage skills.

WordPress & Web Applications
- Knowledge of WordPress (Posts, Pages, Custom Post Types, Plugins, Themes, Taxonomies, Roles & Permissions).
- Understanding of web application behavior including forms, file uploads, search, pagination, notifications, and social collaboration features.

Technical Skills
- Basic REST API testing and understanding of HTTP status codes.
- Experience using Browser DevTools (Network, Console, HAR capture).
- Basic understanding of PHP applications and web hosting concepts.
- Exposure to cloud environments; GCP knowledge is a plus.

Tools
- Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Confluence or SharePoint.
- Postman (preferred).
