The Logistics Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods while optimizing transportation costs, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with statutory and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities (5 Core Areas)1. Logistics Planning & Distribution
- Develop and execute daily dispatch plans aligned with customer delivery schedules and production output.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Sales, and Transport teams to ensure seamless material movement.
- Optimize transportation routes and vehicle utilization to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve transit-related issues.
- Ensure on-time delivery while meeting customer service level agreements (SLAs).
2. Transportation & Vendor Management
- Source and coordinate with approved transporters to ensure vehicle availability.
- Negotiate freight rates and monitor logistics costs to achieve budget targets.
- Evaluate transporter performance based on delivery timelines, service quality, and compliance.
- Maintain transporter contracts, documentation, and performance records.
- Identify and implement logistics cost optimization initiatives.
3. Documentation & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare and verify all dispatch documentation, including Tax Invoices, E-Way Bills, Delivery Challans, Packing Lists, and Lorry Receipts.
- Ensure compliance with GST, FSSAI, and transportation regulations.
- Maintain accurate logistics records and support internal and external audits.
- Coordinate documentation for interstate and export shipments where applicable.
- Ensure 100% documentation accuracy before dispatch.
4. Warehouse & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with Stores to ensure product availability for planned dispatches.
- Verify batch allocation based on FIFO/FEFO principles.
- Monitor loading activities to prevent short
