POSITION NAME: Senior Design Engineer (Automotive Dashboards/Trims - Catia V5)

EDUCATION REQUIRED: BE/B. Tech degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aeronautical Engineering

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 8+ Years

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

(DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE ETC)
- 8+ years’ experience in Design and development of automotive dashboard/interior plastic components for premium vehicles.
- Develop 3D models, master sections, B-side features, mounting strategies, and engineering drawings.
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CATIA V5
- Coordinate with styling, CAE, tooling, suppliers, and manufacturing teams for product development.
- Conduct tolerance stack-up, gap & flush analysis, DFMEA, tooling feasibility analysis. and design validation activities.




- Good in reading & interpreting complex Manufacturing / Assembly drawings.

SKILL / TOOLS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Catia V5

MUST REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong experience in Automotive Interior Trim / Dashboard (IP) Design.
- Expertise in Plastic Part Development
- Knowledge of Design-to-Manufacturing and Manufacturability Concepts.
- Hands-on experience in DFM, DFA, DFMEA, GD&T;, Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis.
- Robust understanding of Injection Molding, Tooling Feasibility, and Plastic Manufacturing Processes.
- Knowledge of Automotive Standards and Product Development Processes.
- Experience working with global OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
