Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Prepare and maintain maintenance schedules and records.
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure availability of spare parts and maintain inventory records.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new machinery.
Operations Engineer Responsibilities
- Monitor daily plant operations to achieve production targets.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and production departments.
- Analyze operational data and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain production and operational records accurately.
- Ensure product quality standards are met during operations.
- Train and guide operators on safe and productive machine handling.
- Participate in root cause analysis for operational issues.
Preferred candidate profile
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Chemistry, or related engineering field.
- 10+ years of experience in maintenance and/or plant operations, preferably in manufacturing or chemical industry.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Good communication and team coordination skills.
- Time management and multitasking ability.
- Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management software is an added advantage.
