We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Radiology Typist to join our diagnostic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately typing and formatting radiology reports dictated by radiologists while maintaining strict confidentiality and ensuring timely report delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Type and transcribe radiology reports with a high level of accuracy.
- Proofread reports for grammar, formatting, and medical terminology.
- Ensure reports are completed and shared within the required turnaround time.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare data privacy standards.
- Coordinate with radiologists and administrative staff to resolve report discrepancies.
- Perform other documentation and administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Typist or Medical Typist in a diagnostic center or hospital.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
- Good knowledge of medical terminology, particularly radiology-related terms.
- Proficiency in MS Word and basic computer applications.
- Solid attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Medical Transcription or a related field.
- Experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) or Hospital Information Systems (HIS) is an advantage.
