Job overview/Purpose of the Position:

As a Data Manager, you will be responsible for delivering ownership and coordination of a Data Engineering team working on Azure-based data platforms. This role combines strong Agile delivery management with a high-level understanding of data platforms to ensure reliable, predictable delivery of data pipelines supporting analytics and reporting. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving execution, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Area of responsibilities:
- Own Agile delivery for the Data Engineering team (sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews).
- Track sprint progress, dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate work across Data Engineers, Architects, and Business stakeholders.
- Remove blockers and ensure smooth execution across development cycles.
- Act as the main communication point for progress, risks, and delivery status.
- Promote structured, repeatable delivery and governance frameworks.




- Ensure adherence to Agile practices, documentation standards, and release processes.
- Review solutions to ensure alignment with requirements, scalability, and maintainability.
- Break down business requirements into clear user stories and delivery tasks.
- Maintain high-level oversight of Azure-based data platform solutions (ADF, ADLS, Databricks).

Competencies (e.g. technical skills):
- 7–12 years of experience in data platform or data engineering–related projects.
- Experience in Agile delivery, sprint management, or coordination roles.
- High-level understanding of the Azure data ecosystem and Databricks-based data platforms.
- Good knowledge of data lifecycle (ingestion, transformation, consumption).
- Strong delivery ownership and execution mindset.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
