Role: WCS Engineer (Warehouse Control System Engineer)

A WCS Engineer (Warehouse Control System Engineer) is responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining the software that controls warehouse automation systems, such as conveyors, sorters, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), robotic systems, and barcode scanners

Key Responsibilities
- Configure, monitor, and support Warehouse Control Systems (WCS).
- Integrate WCS with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), PLCs, and ERP systems
- Troubleshoot software and automation issues to minimize warehouse downtime
- Monitor system performance and optimize warehouse operations
- Coordinate with automation, controls, and operations teams during implementation and support
- Perform software testing, deployments, and upgrades




- Analyze system logs and resolve production incidents
- Create technical documentation and provide user training
- Support warehouse operations during go-live and post-implementation phases.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Understanding of warehouse automation technologies (conveyors, sorters, AS/RS, AMRs, AGVs).
- SQL for querying and troubleshooting databases
- Basic programming knowledge (Java, C#, or Python is often preferred
- Understanding of APIs, TCP/IP, REST, XML, or JSON
- Experience with PLC communication is an advantage
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux environments
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills
