About the Role
The Senior QA & Performance Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software solutions. This position requires a proactive approach to testing and performance tuning, with a focus on client interaction and support.
Responsibilities
- Interact with the client, understand the requirements
- Create Test scripts, review with client and get sign-off
- Develop work plan coordinating with on-shore solution architect
- Test stored procs in SQL Server, identify bugs, follow best practices
- System tests the code
- Coordinate with client and assist in UAT
- Performance tuning is essential to this role
- Attend meetings and provide update
- Provide hyper care for 2 weeks after deployment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent work experience
Required Skills
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in testing complicated stored procedures in SQL Server environment, integrating data from several different data sources
- Minimum 8+ years of experience across the entire enterprise data center stack from the hardware to the application layer at major consulting firm or systems integrator
- Minimum 3+ years of experience conceptualizing and architecting the target environment for SQL Server
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in performance tuning the Stored procs. Develop new tuning approaches to meet client’s stringent requirements
- Develop methods to performance test in a transfer line - manufacturing environment
- Experience in automation, trigger-based process start/stop
- Exception handling and logging, notification
- Provide after deployment support
- Create documentation, review with the client
