Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with 612 years of Banking and Financial Services experience, specializing in Trade Surveillance, Market Abuse Surveillance, Capital Markets, Compliance, and Regulatory Reporting.
The role requires close collaboration with Risk, Compliance, Technology, Business, and Regulatory stakeholders to define requirements, document surveillance scenarios, support investigations, analyze trade data, and enable implementation of enterprise surveillance solutions.
Mandatory Skills
Banking & Capital Markets Domain Expertise
Minimum 6+ years of Business Analyst experience in Banking, with solid knowledge of capital markets, trade surveillance, market abuse controls, regulatory compliance, derivatives trading, electronic trading platforms, OMS, and EMS.
Trade Surveillance Functional Expertise:
Strong understanding of real-time trade monitoring, alert generation, suspicious trading analysis, surveillance controls, exception thresholds, and end-to-end investigation workflows.
Key Surveillance Coverage
- Market manipulation scenarios including spoofing, layering, wash trades, pump and dump, marking the close, cross-product manipulation, momentum ignition, and quote stuffing.
- Insider trading surveillance around MNPI, employee/client/related-party transactions, earnings announcements, M&A;, corporate actions, and regulatory disclosures.
- Best execution monitoring using execution quality metrics, venue performance, transaction cost analysis, and adverse execution review.
- Front-running surveillance by correlating client orders with trader, employee, and proprietary trading activity.
- Cross-market and cross-asset surveillance across equities, fixed income, FX, commodities, and derivatives.
