Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Security Admin / Analyst with experience in Microsoft

Purview and Microsoft Defender XDR. The ideal candidate will be responsible for

managing Microsoft 365 security controls, monitoring security incidents, supporting

investigations, and ensuring effective data protection across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor Microsoft Purview capabilities including Data Loss
- Prevention (DLP), Information Protection Labels, Information Rights
- Management (IRM), and Data Classification policies.
- Create, test, optimize, and maintain Purview DLP policies to improve data protection
- and reduce false positives.
- Monitor Microsoft Defender XDR alerts and incidents across endpoint, email,
- identity, and cloud workloads.
- Perform initial triage of security alerts, investigate suspicious activities, and escalate
- confirmed incidents as per defined processes.




- Support incident response activities by collecting evidence, preparing timelines,
- validating users/assets, and coordinating with IT and security teams.
- Track incidents, policy violations, remediation activities, and closure status using
- ITSM tools.
- Prepare weekly and monthly security reports, dashboards, and metrics related to
- Purview alerts, DLP violations, and XDR incidents.
- Maintain security documentation including SOPs, runbooks, and operational
- procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen Microsoft 365 security operations.

Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview.
- Experience working with Microsoft Defender XDR.
- Solid knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection, IRM,
- and Data Classification.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance solutions.
- Experience in security monitoring, alert triage, and
