Summary:

UST is looking for Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

The Opportunity:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Build scalable RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and other Engineers to deliver features.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes.
- Work with relational databases and optimize complex SQL queries.




- Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

What you need:

Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
- 4-7 years of professional software development experience.
- Valuable understanding of MVC architecture and Rails conventions.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL and database design principles.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Experience writing unit, integration, and functional tests using RSpec, Minitest, or similar frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
