Job Summary

Blue Tea India is looking for an experienced
NPD Manager
to lead the development of innovative herbal wellness products. The role involves managing the complete product development process—from market research and concept creation to formulation, product trials, and commercial launch.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in
New Product Development (NPD)
in the Food & Beverage, Herbal, Nutraceutical, or Functional Food industry.
Basic knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA), food safety, and documentation is required
, as the role will also support quality-related activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end new product development from concept to market launch.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new product opportunities.
- Develop and optimize product formulations and herbal blends.
- Plan and conduct product trials, tastings, and pilot batches.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Packaging, Marketing,



and Operations for product launches.
- Prepare product specifications, SOPs, technical documents, and development reports.
- Ensure products comply with FSSAI and other regulatory requirements.
- Support basic quality activities, including raw material evaluation, product quality checks, documentation, and maintaining quality standards.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field
.
- 4–8 years of experience
in
New Product Development (NPD)
within the Food & Beverage, Herbal Wellness, Nutraceutical, Tea, or Functional Food industry.
- Hands-on experience in product formulation, product trials, and commercialization.
- Positive understanding of market trends and consumer insights.
- Basic knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA/QC), SOPs, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
