Role Summary

This role assists in defining application standards, processes, and best practices to provide the product advice teams with consistent solutions; this role also develops and maintains architecture roadmaps, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant solutions across advisory platforms and services.

Technical Skills
- Expert-level understanding of full stack application architectures (UI, services, APIs, and backend systems)
- Expert-level knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and services (Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions, SNS/SQS, Route 53, IAM, CloudFormation)
- Expert-level experience designing secure systems, including API security (OAuth, JWT, IAM policies, authorizers) and end-to-end security architecture
- Deep expertise in API design, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Strong understanding of distributed systems design, scalability, resiliency, and performance optimization




- Experience defining and enforcing architecture patterns (serverless/FaaS, concurrency, cold start optimization, multi-region design)
- Expertise in infrastructure-as-code and descriptor-based deployments (CloudFormation or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of observability and operational design (logging, tracing, monitoring; CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, etc.)
- Ability to review and guide complex system designs without direct code contribution
- Experience evaluating and integrating emerging technologies, including AI-assisted engineering tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)

Non-Technical Skills
- Proven ability to define architecture standards and drive adoption across multiple teams
- Solid stakeholder management and influence across product, engineering, and leadership
- Experience translating business strategy into scalable technical solutions over a 6 18 month horizon
