Position: Manager - Legal and Compliance, US

Location: Malad, Mumbai

Role Overview- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal & Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory compliance, legal advisory, and policy governance for our US operations. This role will ensure adherence to applicable US laws and regulations while supporting business functions through effective legal guidance and risk mitigation.

Roles and Responsibilities.

1. Regulatory Compliance (US)
- Stay updated with applicable US federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews and risk assessments
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs, manuals, and training initiatives
- Manage regulatory filings, vendor registrations, and company compliance requirements
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and handle audits, inquiries, and inspections
- Oversee insurance-related compliance and documentation

2. Legal Support & Contract Management
- Provide legal guidance to internal stakeholders on US-related matters
- Draft, review,



and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents
- Manage agreements for clients, contractors, and service providers (e.g., handyman services)
- Conduct legal research and risk analysis to support business decisions

3. Policy Development & Governance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and update internal policies
- Ensure effective communication and implementation of policies across the organization
- Monitor compliance with policies and recommend improvements
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures designed to mitigate legal and compliance risks

4. Shipping & Logistics Compliance
- Ensure compliance with US regulations related to shipping, imports/exports, and logistics
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to maintain compliance standards

5. HR Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with US labor and employment law
