Role & responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care in line with hospital SOPs and NABH standards, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as per physician orders, maintaining strict adherence to the five rights of medication administration
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient progress, and any changes in condition; escalate promptly to Senior Staff Nurse / Duty Doctor as required
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records, nursing notes, MAR, intake-output charts, and shift handover reports
- Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and ensure proper pre- and post-procedure care
- Ensure infection control practices, biomedical waste management, and hand hygiene protocols are strictly followed
- Educate patients and attendants on care plans, medication compliance,



and discharge instructions
- Participate in ward rounds, handover briefings, and interdepartmental coordination for seamless patient care
- Maintain equipment, drug stock, and emergency trolley readiness on the assigned unit
- Support and mentor junior nursing staff/trainees under the Buddy Nurse Program framework
- Comply with all clinical privileging, credentialing, and continuing education requirements

- Strong clinical skills with sound knowledge of nursing protocols and patient safety standards
- Valuable communication and documentation skills
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts (including night duty)
- Team player with a patient-first attitude
