Role & responsibilities
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies within the hospital and during ambulance transfers.
- Perform rapid patient assessment and prioritize treatment based on the severity of the condition.
- Administer Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as per hospital protocols.
- Assist physicians and emergency nurses during resuscitation, trauma care, and emergency procedures.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs and clinical status.
- Administer oxygen therapy, airway management, CPR, defibrillation, and emergency medications as authorized.
- Immobilize fractures, control bleeding, and manage trauma patients before and during transport.
- Ensure protected transfer of patients between ambulances,
emergency department, ICU, OT, and other hospital units.
- Maintain emergency equipment, crash carts, monitors, ventilators, defibrillators, and ambulance readiness.
- Perform regular checks of emergency medications and medical supplies.
- Maintain accurate patient care records and emergency documentation.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Medical Technology (EMT), Paramedical Science, Emergency Care Technology, or a related healthcare discipline.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certification is mandatory.
