About the Role

We're looking for a
Junior Accounting Executive
to join our UK accounting team. You'll work alongside experienced accountants, supporting UK accounting firms with bookkeeping, VAT, year-end accounts, tax returns and other day-to-day accounting activities.

This role is ideal for someone with
1–2 years of experience
who wants to build a long-term career in UK accounting.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping using
Xero
and
QuickBooks
.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records.
- Process
Accounts Payable
and
Accounts Receivable
transactions.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing
VAT Returns
.
- Prepare year-end accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
- Assist with
Self Assessment Tax Returns (SA100)
.
- Perform bank, supplier and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare supporting working papers and schedules.
- Identify and post year-end adjustments.
- Review client records and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Support senior accountants with compliance and reporting assignments.

Requirements




- 1–2 years of experience
in UK Accounting, Bookkeeping or Taxation.
- Working knowledge of
Xero
and/or
QuickBooks
.
- Good understanding of UK bookkeeping, VAT and year-end accounting.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
