Job Description
As Director, Employment Counsel India,



the primary focus of this role will be to serve as employment counsel for Ameriprise India, with additional responsibilities to periodically provide legal advice on day-to-day Ameriprise India operations in partnership with appropriate subject matter experts within the General Counsel’s Organization (GCO) of Ameriprise Financial, Inc. This role will partner with leaders across the GCO to ensure that Ameriprise India complies with all relevant laws, regulations, industry standards and corporate governance requirements. This role will be part of a global legal team, reporting to Employment Counsel in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

Employment Law:Serve as employment counsel for operations in India, providing practical, compliant, strategic legal advice and counsel on a full range of employment law issues common to large U.S. public companies with global operations

Proactively identify employment law risks and partner with appropriate stakeholders
