Job Description: Senior Quality Engineer

Job Purpose

The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems to ensure that stainless steel sheet metal products, including SS control panels and enclosures, meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable quality standards. The role focuses on process control, inspection, continuous improvement, and coordination with production to minimize defects and rework.

Role & responsibilities

1. Quality Planning & Control
- Develop and implement quality control plans for SS sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes.
- Define inspection stages such as incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, and BOMs.
- Establish acceptance criteria for SS materials, fabrication,



welding, finishing, and assembly.
- SAP Knowledge
- ISO 9001:2015 and EN15085-2, ISO3834-2 Knowledge
- Welding related activities (WPS, PQR, welding code etc) need to conduct.
- Knowledge of Product, process audit and compliance.

2. Incoming Material Inspection
- Inspect incoming stainless-steel sheets, pipes, profiles, and bought-out items.
- Verify material grade, thickness, finish, and surface quality as per specifications.
- Ensure proper documentation such as MTCs and supplier quality records.

3. In-Process Quality Assurance
- Monitor fabrication processes including cutting, bending, welding, grinding, polishing, and assembly.
- Ensure welding quality (TIG/MIG) including weld appearance, strength, and dimensional accuracy.
- Identify process deviations and coordinate corrective actions with production teams.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and non-conformances through root cause analysis.
