Role Description
The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Haldia. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling accounts. The role involves overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards and local regulations. The Senior Accountant will monitor budgets, analyze variances, support audits,



and provide financial insights to management for decision-making. This position also includes supervising junior accounting staff, improving internal controls, and collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and productive workflows.

Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
- Experience with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial planning.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including use of formulas, pivots, and financial models.
- Familiarity with tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to supervise and mentor team members, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
