The Chance

We are seeking a Director of Engineering to define and drive Dentira’s platform strategy, execution and AI innovation across platform. This role will be a
member of the leadership team, responsible for the strategy, scale, and execution of the entire engineering organization spanning Product Engineering, Platform & Infrastructure, and AI/ML Engineering. This role owns engineering as a business function: organizational design, technical strategy, and the leadership bench beneath it.

Role Description
- Organizational leadership:

Build, structure,



and scale a multi-layered engineering organization (Managers → Leads → ICs).
- Strategy & technical direction:

Own Dentira's multi-year engineering strategy and technical roadmap across platform, infrastructure, and AI/ML — setting direction that Tech Leads and Staff/Principal engineers translate into architecture and execution.
- Business ownership:

Own the engineering budget and headcount plan; make build-vs-buy and vendor decisions with full P&L; accountability; forecast engineering costs against company growth targets.
- Talent & leadership development:

Define career progression frameworks, leadership hiring standards, and succession plans; personally hire, coach, and develop the Lead/Manager layer.
