Senior Analytics Engineer (Indian - Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a
Senior Analytics Engineer
to join a growing data team and help build the foundation for trusted, scalable analytics. In this role, you will transform raw data into clean, reliable, and well-documented data models that power executive reporting, self-service analytics, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You will work closely with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Product, and Data Science teams to design high-quality transformation pipelines, implement best practices for data modeling, and ensure the delivery of governed, analytics-ready datasets.

This is a hands-on technical role suited for someone who enjoys building modern data platforms and takes ownership of data quality, performance, and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Modeling & Transformation
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data transformation pipelines using
dbt
.
- Develop modular, reusable, and well-tested data models following
Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
and




Dimensional Modeling (Kimball)
best practices.
- Create analytics-ready data marts that serve as trusted sources for business reporting.
- Optimize warehouse performance using incremental models, clustering, partitioning, and effective materialization strategies.
- Develop reusable macros, packages, and modeling standards to improve consistency and maintainability.

Analytics & Business Intelligence
- Design and maintain semantic and metrics layers that provide consistent business definitions across reporting.
- Partner with BI developers and analysts to deliver trusted datasets for
Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
.
- Create and maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and lineage to improve data discoverability and governance.
- Build reusable analytics models across domains such as Finance, Sales, and Operations.

Data Quality & Governance
- Implement automated testing using dbt tests and custom validation framewo
