Role & responsibilities

Source and develop new vendors for Machining, Fabrication & Tool Room Activites
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, manufacturing capacity, quality systems, and delivery performance.
- Prepare and analyze RFQs (Request for Quotations), compare commercial offers, and finalize suppliers based on techno-commercial evaluation.
- Perform detailed per-part costing based on manufacturing processes involved
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Maintain updated knowledge of prevailing market rates for various manufacturing processes and materials.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Planning teams to ensure procurement aligns with production schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement vendor development initiatives to Prferred candidate profile
- Identify cost reduction opportunities through value engineering, alternate sourcing, and process optimization.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and components to avoid production delays.




- Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor database, and procurement documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement and supply chain function.

Required Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including:
- CNC Turning
- Milling
- Surface & Cylindrical Grinding
- VMC Machining
- Laser Cutting
- Sheet Metal Bending
- Heat Treatment
- Powder Coating
- Fabrication and Welding
- Hands-on experience in component costing and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Valuable understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Familiarity with raw materials used in Fixturing & Machine Tools
- Knowledge of market rates for machining and secondary manufacturing processes.
- Experience in vendor identification, qualification, and development.
