Role Overview

An experienced Automation / Manual Tester is required to support a Trade Surveillance Modernization Program within Banking and Capital Markets. The role will focus on validating surveillance rules, trade and order data, alert generation, case workflows, regulatory evidence, and end-to-end testing across SIT, UAT, regression, and production validation phases.

Core Responsibilities
- Understand business, functional, and regulatory requirements and convert them into test strategy, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Execute manual and automated testing across surveillance applications, reporting platforms, and data workflows.
- Validate source-to-target data accuracy across trade, order, market, position, reference, alert, and regulatory reporting data.
- Log, track, triage, and verify defects in collaboration with business, compliance, technology, and data engineering teams.

Required Skills
- 6+ years of testing experience in Banking, Financial Services,



Capital Markets, or Trade Surveillance programs.
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives, market abuse monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience in test planning, test execution, defect management, regression testing, SIT, UAT, and production validation.
- Robust SQL, data validation, ETL testing, API testing, file validation, and reconciliation experience.
- Automation experience using Selenium, Python Automation, PyTest, Robot Framework, Java Selenium, or API automation frameworks.
- Working knowledge of ADO, JIRA, Confluence, Agile/Scrum delivery, and defect lifecycle management.

Preferred / Advantageous Skills
- Exposure to trade surveillance platforms such as NICE Actimize, Nasdaq SMARTS, TradingHub, Eventus Validus, Scila, or OneMarketData.
- Knowledge of PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, Jenkins, Git, Docker
