Experience: 8+ Years Location: Hyderabad Work Model: Hybrid Work from Client Office 3 days a week Role Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Backend Engineer with strong expertise in API development, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems. The role involves building highly scalable backend services using Python, FastAPI, and Kafka, with a robust focus on code quality, observability, and performance in a cloud-native environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-performance REST APIs using Python and FastAPI Build and support event-driven and distributed systems using Apache Kafka Implement scalable backend services with strong focus on resilience, reliability, and performance Write unit tests and ensure high test coverage and code quality Enforce code quality standards using SonarQube and follow clean coding practices Troubleshoot and analyze issues in distributed systems using logs and metrics Monitor applications using Azure Application Insights and related logging tools Collaborate with architects, product owners,



and cross-functional teams in an Agile setup Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and production support as required Mandatory Skills & Experience 8+ years of hands-on backend development experience Strong proficiency in Python Solid experience in FastAPI / REST API development Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture Experience in unit testing frameworks (PyTest / unittest or similar) Experience using SonarQube for static code analysis and quality gates Exposure to Azure cloud, especially Azure Application Insights for logging and monitoring Good to Have Experience working in BFSI / Insurance domain Exposure to containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines Experience handling high-throughput, low-latency systems Familiarity with microservices architecture patterns Work Location & Expectations Hyderabad Mandatory presence
