Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial & Contract Management
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial agreements, including supply contracts, procurement agreements, EPC contracts, logistics and transportation agreements, warehousing contracts, service agreements, consultancy agreements, lease deeds, MoUs, NDAs, and technology licensing agreements.
- Provide legal support during commercial negotiations to safeguard the Company's interests.
- Develop and maintain standard contract templates and contract management systems.
- Ensure timely renewal and compliance with contractual obligations.

2. Litigation & Dispute Management
- Manage civil, commercial, criminal, arbitration, consumer, labour, and recovery matters across corporate and plant locations.
- Coordinate with external advocates, solicitors, and legal consultants for effective representation before courts, tribunals, arbitration panels, and statutory authorities.
- Review legal notices, prepare replies, affidavits, petitions, and legal documentation.




- Monitor litigation progress and recommend appropriate legal strategies for dispute resolution.

3. Corporate Legal Advisory
- Advise management and functional heads on legal implications of business decisions.
- Provide legal guidance on strategic projects, capital investments, expansion initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and restructuring activities.
- Interpret applicable laws and recommend practical legal solutions to support business objectives.

4. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, including:
- Companies Act
- Indian Contract Act
- Factories Act and Occupational Safety regulations
- Labour Codes and Employment Laws
- Environmental Laws
- GST and Commercial Laws
- Arbitration & Conciliation Act
- Electricity Act
- Competition Act
- Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code
- Industrial regulations applicable to steel manufacturing
- Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and statutor
