We are seeking a detail-oriented and communicative Collections Associate to join our Finance team for our US Process. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and recovering outstanding accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong customer relationships with US-based clients. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional English communication skills, a strong analytical mindset for account reconciliation, and a professional approach towards problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of customer accounts to ensure accurate payment application, identify discrepancies, and resolve unallocated payments or billing errors.
- Outbound & Inbound Communication: Contact clients and customers via phone and email regarding overdue payments. Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding their account status.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document all collection activities, communications.
- Reporting:
Assist in generating Weekly/Monthly aging reports and highlighting high-risk accounts to senior management.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales and Billing departments to resolve disputes or missing information that may be delaying payment.
- Compliance: Ensure all collection practices adhere strictly to company policies and relevant financial regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounts department, or a financial customer support role.
Core Competencies & Skills
- Language Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to draft professional emails and conduct transparent, empathetic, yet firm phone conversations with international clients.
