Role & responsibilities

Patient Assessment & Management
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage obstetric and gynaecological patients in OPD, IPD, emergency, and labor ward.
- Labour & Delivery Care
- Monitor labor, conduct normal vaginal deliveries, assist in high-risk pregnancies, and manage obstetric emergencies under consultant supervision.

1. Surgical Assistance
- Assist and perform obstetric and gynaecological procedures, including Caesarean sections, D&C;, hysteroscopy, and other surgeries as per competency and hospital protocols.

2. Clinical Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain accurate patient records, prepare discharge summaries, obtain informed consent, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

3. Emergency & On-Call Duties




- Provide 24/7 emergency coverage, respond promptly to obstetric and gynaecological emergencies, and ensure timely communication with consultants regarding critical cases.

Preferred candidate profile
- Educational Qualification
- MBBS with MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (or DGO, as per hospital requirements) and a valid State Medical Council/NMC registration.
- Clinical Experience
- 13 years of experience in managing obstetric and gynaecological patients, including labor ward, OPD, emergency, and inpatient care.
