Role & responsibilities
- Perform Treadmill Test (TMT)/Exercise Stress Test as per standard clinical protocols.
- Prepare patients before the procedure by explaining the test and obtaining relevant medical history.
- Attach ECG electrodes correctly and ensure proper equipment calibration.
- Continuously monitor ECG, blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and patient symptoms during the test.
- Identify abnormal ECG changes or patient distress and immediately inform the cardiologist.
- Assist the cardiologist during TMT interpretation and emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate patient records, test reports, and documentation.
- Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and calibration of TMT machines and related equipment.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and quality protocols.
- Coordinate with front office, nursing staff, and billing for smooth patient flow.
- Provide basic life support (BLS) during emergencies until the medical team takes over.
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and confidentiality throughout the procedure.
- Assist in other non-invasive cardiology investigations whenever required (ECG, Holter, ABPM, etc.).
Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Cardiac Care Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Allied Health Sciences, or equivalent.
- 03 years of experience in TMT/ECG/Cardiology Diagnostics (Freshers with valuable clinical knowledge may also apply).
- Hands-on experience in performing TMT and ECG is preferred.
- Knowledge of cardiac emergency protocols and patient monitoring.
- BLS certification is preferred (ACLS is an added advantage).
- Good communication and patient counseling skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly during emergencies.
- Basic computer knowledge and experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) is desirable.
- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and emergency duties.
