Job Description

Manages the accounts, budgets and financial control activities of the organization

to meet the information needs of management, government and statutory bodies.

 Ensures effective accounting procedures are established and followed in order to

meet the financial reporting requirement of the organization.

 Plans, directs and supervises the activities of assigned personnel

 Co-ordinates the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets and

submits these to management.

 Ensures that Accounts and other financial data are available on an accurate,

concise and up-to-date basis.

 Monitor the Cash flow

 Advises HODs on financial policies and the implementation / application of such

policies.

 Manages trains and develops assigned personnel to meet the requirement of the

organization.

 Manages Accounts Payable function so that credit terms are utilized.

 Controls on Statutory payments.

 Supervise the Purchase reconciliation and provisional entries.

 Assist in Taxation (I-tax, Sales Tax, etc.) matters. Tax Audit.





 Assists in the development and implementation of recent accounting systems,

which are designed to improve the financial reporting of the business.

 Will conduct performance evaluations and be responsible for coaching and

counseling.

 Participate in discussions of business analysis and strategy planning.

 Liaises with external auditors, as required
