As a Windchill Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure Windchill environments tailored to Knorr-Bremse’s business needs. You will address non-functional requirements, define infrastructure landscapes, and lead the implementation of automation, monitoring, and integration strategies. Your role spans across system architecture, administration, business configuration, and interface management, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with enterprise standards.

You will be expected to:

•Possess comprehensive knowledge of all critical components required to operate the Windchill application in a large-scale enterprise workplace, including caches/Replicas, search engines, LDAP, databases, application servers, worker agents, and load balancers.

•Demonstrate practical experience with Jenkins or equivalent CI/CD tools in the context of Windchill operations.

•Exhibit hands-on proficiency with monitoring solutions such as Datadog.

Key Responsibilities:

•Install, configure, and maintain Windchill systems,



including both standard (OOTB) features and enterprise-specific customizations.

•Manage critical Windchill components such as Vaults, Replicas, Workers, SOLR, OpenDJ, Tomcat, and NetApp storage systems.

•Plan and execute system upgrades, patch management (CPS, security updates), and deployments in test and production environments.

•Design and implement integrations, including stakeholder coordination, interface configuration, and 2nd/3rd level support.

•Support migration and optimization projects including system preparation, rehosting, cloning, and go-live planning.

•Configure and operate clustered environments using F5 Load Balancer to ensure high availability and scalability.

•Provide third-level support for complex system issues using tools like Datadog and custom monitoring solutions.

•Maintain the KB deployment framework using Python and YAML, executing deployments aligned with release cycles
