Purpose/Objective

To execute procurement activities for Operations & Maintenance (O&M;) materials, consumables, spare parts, and services required for smooth plant operations.
The role is responsible for sourcing, vendor coordination, techno-commercial evaluation, purchase order processing, and ensuring timely availability of materials and services while maintaining cost efficiency and procurement compliance.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Procurement & Sourcing - Execute procurement of O&M; spares, consumables, repair items, and maintenance services.
- Float RFQs, collect quotations, and coordinate with vendors for timely submissions.
- Prepare comparative statements and procurement recommendations.
- Generate and track Purchase Orders (POs) through ERP systems.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Techno-Commercial Coordination - Conduct preliminary techno-commercial evaluation of vendor offers.
- Support negotiations for pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and commercial conditions.




- Ensure procurement requirements meet technical specifications and user department expectations.
Vendor Management - Maintain relationships with approved vendors and service providers.
- Identify and develop alternate sources for critical materials and services.
- Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery parameters.
- Assist in vendor registration and evaluation activities.
Service & Contract Management - Coordinate procurement of AMC, manpower, repair, and maintenance service contracts.
- Track contract validity, performance, and renewal requirements.
- Ensure timely processing of work orders and service-related documentation.
Inventory Coordination - Coordinate with Stores and Maintenance teams for material planning.
- Monitor stock levels of critical spares and consumables.
- Support inventory optimization and minimize stock-out situations.
- Track slow-moving and non-moving inventory items.
