B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (PG in Construction Management preferred)
Job Summary:
The Planning Manager is responsible for end-to-end project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of construction projects. The role ensures timely project delivery by tracking progress, identifying delays, and implementing corrective actions in alignment with organizational goals.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project
- Define WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and activity sequencing
- Prepare project timelines, milestones, and resource plans
- Align planning with design, procurement, and execution teams
Project Monitoring & Control:
- Track project progress against baseline schedules
- Identify delays, critical path activities, and risks
- Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor productivity and ensure adherence to timelines
MIS & Reporting:
- Prepare Daily / Weekly / Monthly MIS reports
- Develop dashboards for project tracking and management review
- Present project status to senior management
- Maintain documentation for progress and performance
Coordination & Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Teams, Contractors, and Consultants
- Ensure smooth communication between cross-functional teams
- Support decision-making with data-driven insights
Resource & Cost Monitoring:
- Track manpower, material, and equipment utilization
- Support cost control and budget tracking
- Monitor procurement schedules in line with project timelines
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and delays in advance
- Develop mitigation and recovery plans
- Ensure minimal impact on project delivery timelines
Required Skills:
- Solid expertise in Primavera P6 / MS Project
- Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing & methodologies
