Role & responsibilities
- Design and develop creative tube fittings, valves, and related products using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Perform design calculations, pressure calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, and material selection.
- Ensure product designs comply with API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, and Sales teams to ensure smooth product development and manufacturing.
- Resolve design-related manufacturing issues and implement design improvements.
- Develop prototypes, participate in testing, validation, and product qualification activities.
- Conduct engineering change management and maintain design documentation.
- Support new product development and value engineering initiatives.
- Mentor and guide junior design engineers while maintaining project timelines.

Preferred candidate profile
- 510 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Petroleum, Instrumentation, Process, Valve,



or Tube Fittings manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in New Product Development (NPD), including concept design, prototyping, product validation, and successful transition to production.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent 3D CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), fluid dynamics, pressure calculations, material selection, and mechanical design principles.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, forging, casting, and precision machining.
- Sound knowledge of API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, and other Oil & Gas industry standards, with experience designing products compliant with API specifications.
- Exposure to customer standards and specifications such as ADNOC, ARAMCO, KOC, PDO, SHELL, or other EPC requirements will be an added advantage.
