AI Architect Key Skills & Experience Expectations

Experience Level
- 12+ years of overall IT experience
- 5+ years in AI/ML and Generative AI solution architecture
- Solid experience designing enterprise-scale AI platforms and distributed systems
- Experience working with cloud-native architectures and enterprise integrations
- Prior experience in client-facing consulting, architecture reviews, and solution positioning is preferred

Core Technical Skills

AI / Generative AI

Must have strong hands-on and architecture-level experience in:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Agentic AI systems
- RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
- Prompt Engineering and orchestration
- Multi-agent frameworks
- AI evaluation and observability
- Fine-tuning and model adaptation approaches
- AI governance and responsible AI concepts

Preferred exposure:




- MCP
- Vector databases
- Knowledge graphs
- AI workflow orchestration
- Model routing and inference optimization

Architecture & System Design

Strong capability in:
- Enterprise AI architecture design
- Control plane and data plane architecture
- Scalable distributed systems
- Event-driven and microservices architecture
- API-first architecture
- High availability and resilient systems
- Multi-tenant platform design
- Security-first architecture patterns

Should be able to:
- Design end-to-end AI platforms
- Define scalable orchestration patterns
- Handle complex enterprise integration scenarios
- Drive architecture governance

Cloud & Infrastructure

Strong experience in at least one major cloud:
- Microsoft Azure
- Amazon Web Services
- Google Cloud

Expected skills:
- Kubernetes
- Containerization
- CI/CD pipelines
- Infrastructure as Code
- GPU/inference infrastructure unders
