Job Summary:

As a
Tax Researcher
, you will be responsible for reviewing loan files before closing to ensure all tax-related information is accurate and complete. The role involves researching US property tax records, communicating with tax authorities, and updating Tax Certificates with a high level of accuracy. Since this is a quality-critical process, attention to detail and accuracy are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and verify loan files before closing.
- Research US Property Tax information using county/state websites and public records.




- Obtain tax information through emails, phone calls, and other official communication channels.
- Update Tax Certificates accurately and ensure error-free processing.
- Track and communicate the status of assigned work.
- Stay updated with client guidelines and process changes.
- Achieve quality standards of
99.99%
accuracy.
- Complete a minimum of
10 Tax Certificate reviews per day

Required Experience & Knowledge:
- Experience in
US Mortgage Tax Research/Tax Certificate Process
.
- Strong understanding of the
US Mortgage Industry
.
- Knowledge of
US Property Tax Research
and
Tax Procurement
.
- Familiarity with US Property Tax terminology.
- Understanding of State and County Tax processes.
- Experience in obtaining tax information from Tax Offices and Assessors.
