Roles and Responsibilities :
- Code anesthesia procedures accurately and efficiently using CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes.
- Review medical records to ensure accurate documentation of patient care and services rendered.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies or questions related to coding.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines when handling sensitive patient information.
Job Requirements :
- 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Coder (Anesthesia) or equivalent role.
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia coding principles, practices, and regulations (e.g., AAPC).
- Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding systems; ability to learn current codes quickly.
- Basic computer skills with proficiency in electronic health record systems.
